In advance: Make cookies. Prepare and roll
out dough. Use teddy bear cutter to cut
one body for each figure; use knife to trim
off ears and arms. Use largest round Cut-Out to cut heads. Use
pattern to cut two easel backs per figure.
Bake and cool cookies.
Use royal icing to decorate heads and bodies
separately on waxed paper-covered boards.
Ice heads smooth in a skin tone, then
decorate features as follows.
Attach candy eyeballs with dots
of icing. Pipe in tip 5 pants and shirt. For
tears in pants and shirt insert tip 2 and pipe
in areas in blue. Pipe tip 12 pull-out arms.
Pipe tip 3 pull-out fingers, outline eyelids
and pipe-in hair. Pipe tip 2 outline mouth
and nostrils, dot toes. Use knife tip to fringe
ends of pants and shirt.
Attach heads; let dry. Attach
easel backs; let dry. Add piping gel tinted red
for blood and wounds in cut parchment bag.
