Make this sweet cake to greet the little duckling! It?s an easy-to-decorate design, with the cake made in the Jersey Cake Pan and the baby-soft colors tinted using the Color Right Performance Color System.

Step 1
Icing Colors Tinted

Use Color Right base colors and QuickCount color formulas to tint icing in the following shades:

--2 cups Pastel Green (formula 565 [1 O + 1 B])

--1 cup Pastel Yellow (formula 100 [1 Y])

Step 2

Make cake. Bake and cool cake.

Prepare icing following recipe directions. Tint icing green and yellow following color formulas. Reserve remaining white icing. Use spatula and white icing to ice cake smooth. Use largest cutter to mark two leg openings. Use second largest cutter to mark neck opening.

Step 3

Decorate cake. Use tip 7, a decorating bag with coupler and green icing to outline romper area on cake top and sides. Use spatula and green icing to ice romper area smooth.

Use tip 102 and green icing to pipe zigzag cuffs. Use tip 7 Use tip 2, a cut disposable decorating bag and yellow icing to pipe line and dots next to cuffs. Use tip 7 and green icing to outline neck and leg openings, placket below neck opening and flap between leg openings. Use tip 2, a decorating bag and yellow icing to pipe line and dots next to cuffs. Use tip 7 and white icing to pipe dot buttons.

Step 4

Decorate duck. Use tip 12 and yellow icing to pipe dot head and pull-out dot body. Use tip 13 and yellow icing to pipe pull-out wing and hair tuft. Use tip 2 and orange tube icing to pipe pull-out beak. Use tip 2 and black tube icing to pipe dot eye.
