Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love how simple and pretty these look. At first it may be hard to make the "perfect" rose, but with some practice.... I've had lots...it can be done very quickly. Perfect for spring time get-togethers and even for easter! Just remember when making the rose to use the flower lifter and press the rose into the icing to make sure it sticks to the cupcake frosting. Although I dont like a lot of icing on my cupcakes... it helps to put some extra where you place the base of the rose. Don't forget the leaves-it very much completes the look.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I'm sure that I can say that the Wilton Rose is a favorite for everyone. Not everyone can master the technique, but the rose is simply perfect if you get it right. I tend to be a perfectionist, so I would not give up until I had mastered this. Once I did, it was simple to make ten, twenty, or more roses. A single rose on top of a cupcake looks as good as a bunch of roses on top of a wedding cake. These cupcakes are perfect to welcome the spring or for Mother's Day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am a beginner, having just completed the Wilton Basic Decorating class and my friends wanted to see what I had learned. I made these cupcakes and decorated them with yellow Wilton Roses. They were so impressed. I used orange emulsion extract in the buttercream icing for a different flavor. It was the first time i had tried emulsion and it seemed to hold the flavor longer and make a great icing even better!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Once you master the wilton rose the rest is easy! There are endless things you can do with cupcakes depending on who you're making them for. I made these for my mom for Mother's Day and she loved them. But I would definitely make the flowers out of royal icing and make sure they're completely dry before you try to move them on top of the cupcake or they will keep breaking!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I gave the roses a medium rating because it can be difficult at the beginning to get your hands to work together to get the right angle of the petals. Roses are a really great way to make a cake or a cupcake something special. It's a wonderful cake decorating skill to have and you will be so proud of yourself in your finished products.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy! Make roses and leaves ahead of time. Pop cupcake mix in oven, frost, place a flower and leaves on top. Beautiful and quick. Made during Autumn with peach colored flowers and brown frosting. Try a poinsettia on green frosting for Christmas, the ideas are endless. See you on our next review!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I rated this medium difficulty because it took some practice to make a rose - but practice makes perfect. I left each rose on the wax paper and put it in the freezer for 5 minutes or so. Freezing the rose helped to keep it's shape when moving it to the cupcake. Impressive looking cupcakes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Roses are the standard by which cake decorating is judged. Practice before you begin. In no time, you'll have beautiful roses to apply to your cupcakes. You can freeze them after you make them on paper to make attaching them easier.
