The job in a nutshell is to assist with the replenishment of components or finished goods to and from our vendors and our Distribution Centers to ensure the balanced supply of product and inventory levels and support of our customers' programs. This position will be responsible for approximately 10 to 15 vendors and 800 – 1500 skus, with annual purchases of approximately $1,000,000 – $5,000,000 and an average managed inventory valued at approximately $1,000,000 – $3,000,000.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Operations, Finance or Marketing
- 1–2 years of forecasting, buying or planning experience in a distribution or import consumer goods company
- Strong technical skills Excel, Access, Email, and MRP (JD Edwards experience a plus)
- Excellent organizational skills are required
- High level of written and oral communication skills

Requirements:
- A Bachelor degree in business or related field or equivalent experience
- 5 + years of experience selling to national and regional accounts at the headquarters level
- Experience working with/selling to mass, craft or specialty retailers
- Strong presentation skills and experience with information-based selling

You will be responsible for maintaining and opening new business with chain stores and independents through aggressive cold calling and prospecting techniques. This position is based in the New York area, you will work from home, and sell to the following territories: New York, New Jersey and New England. Additional responsibilities include: overall growth of the territory; achieve sales goals and quotas as set forth by manager; communicate in a timely manner reports and field information to manager; proper coverage within the territory; identify and communicate territory-specific challenges and problems that impact business growth; and ensure that all marketing/sales programs are properly executed on a regional basis.
Requirements:
- 5+ years Consumer Products sales experience with a proven track record
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 60% travel (including overnight stays) within the territory and national trade shows required
