Rated 4 out of 5 by Muzicnancy from Shelf life/ ease of use I ran out of egg white and found a sealed can of Wilton's Meringue Powder buried in my pantry. I found the recipe for Homemade Marshmallow Icing on the website and made it up. Very easy to make; in fact it was much simpler that my usual White Mountain Frosting. I have to confess that the date on the can was 1994. The product worked wonderfully even after 23 years on the shelf!

Its so stress free, less messy, easy & fool proof compared to making the same recipe with fresh egg whites. A life saver in recipes that asks for egg whites. three cheers to wilton's meringue powder.
